Highland Restaurant

Tasmania is known the world over for its cool climate cheeses and wines and seafood; and fine food and wine is never better than when sourced locally and prepared with a passion for the ingredients. At Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge you have a choice of food and wine experiences to suit any occasion.

For a special event, the Highland Restaurant is our signature restaurant. Events of all sizes are often hosted at Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge, but something small and special like a Signature Wine & Cheese Tasting showcasing Tasmania’s gourmet reputation, can also be arranged.

The Highland Restaurant is open daily for Lodge buffet breakfast (in-house guests only) and dinner. Bookings are required for dinner. The menu is inspired by the best of Tasmanian produce and changes seasonally.

Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge is situated in the World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain-St. Clair National Park, in the pristine northwest wilderness of Tasmania - 2 scenic hours drive from Launceston and 1.25 hours from Devonport. Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge is located 81km from Devonport, 110km from Burnie, 142km from Launceston and 375km from Hobart.

Air connections
Regular flights are available from all Australian capital cities to Launceston with Jetstar or Virgin Australia, to Devonport with Qantaslink and to Hobart with Qantas or Virgin Australia.

Self drive
Car rental is available through all major car rental companies in airport or city locations from Launceston (drive time is approx. 2.5 hours) Burnie (approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes) and Devonport (approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes).
