There are events happening all year round in Hervey Bay, ranging from music festivals, markets, polo and theatre. Of course, the major attractions and events of the area revolve around whale-watching season which essentially runs from mid-July through to early November, and many other local events are arranged to coincide with this spectacular phenomenon.
