Lighthouse Beach is 7 kilometres south of Port Macquarie, its 9 kilomtre stretch of southeast-facing sand home to a series of hospitable beach breaks. The best waves can be found at the more sheltered northern end, which, unusually, loves a northeast swell and northeast breeze. Lighthouse Beach Holiday Village has beach bungalows, cabins and camping/caravan sites plus a pool, café and camp kitchen. This is the place to stay for golfers too, with Port Macquarie Golf Club’s 18-hole championship course situated close by.
