Enchantment awaits at the lovingly refurbished Peppers Convent, encircled by lush gardens and vineyards in Hunter Valley wine country. Peppers Convent has recently enhanced the classic sophistication of its guest rooms with a fresh interior design scheme which marries a French provincial accent with a pure Australian country flavour.
The guest rooms combine elegant furniture pieces, decorative wall sashes, sheer curtains, fine furnishings, flat screen LCD televisions and airy verandahs with crisp wicker furniture to create a charming country ambience.
Guests will slip into comfortable lounges and arm chairs in warm colours and enjoy a Varianne table with stylish chairs – an ideal setting for an intimate dinner in seduction seclusion.
The 1906 retreat, was originally home to the Brigidine order of nuns in Coonamble, located nearly 600kms west of the Hunter. The building was moved in pieces to its present location, before being painstakingly reconstructed by a team of master tradesman.
Ensconced within the Pepper Tree Complex, Peppers Convent is only a leisurely stroll from renowned Circa 1876's Restaurant and Pepper Tree Winery Cellar Door.
Famous for the scrumptious breakfast served in the charming sunroom, guests can relish old-fashioned bread & butter pudding and the signature Eggs Benedict.

With an ambience of peace and tranquillity, Peppers Convent lures guests looking for a magical mini-break or weekend escape.
It's also an ideal base from which to explore the many delights of the Hunter Valley region. Wineries, hot air ballooning, joy flights, sky diving, rainforest tours, horse and camel riding and antiquing are but a few of the pleasurable ways to wile away the day.
